Not listened to ep56, but I read the article on German Vocational collages and keeping unemployment down.

Cameron would encourage the Uk to adopt a similar system, but what he fails to mention is that 15years ago we had perfectly good inroads into careers via apprenticeships and vocational collages.

The problem in the UK is that the government agenda has been to drill academic further education into our school leavers, which has resulted in a swell of graduates who cannot attain the roles they studied for.
Our workforce is now sadly lacking in skilled workers and has lead to a generation who are carrying around +£20k debt on their shoulders, almost in fear of getting a job which will hit the trigger point for them starting to pay the student loan back.
